Being highly corrosive, even just a drop of brake fluid could damage the fairing or visor of the helmet, compromising the rider’s vision.

By enveloping the brake fluid reservoir, the cuff prevents the possibility of drops of fluid escaping from the cap due to vibration or during very steep steering angles.
